ONE SMALL STEP FOR MAN, ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MAN TIME
A PIECE OF HISTORY, AN ANCIENT RELIC
Announcing the Lunar Watch, the world's first timepiece made of a solid piece of genuine moon rock. Precision cut from genuine olivine basalt stone collected from the surface of the moon by the Soviet Luna probe in 1974, this beautiful and one-of-a-kind material makes for an enviable and truly collectible timepiece. Each piece is handcrafted and built over 4 months in Switzerland in a limited quantity of 25 units.
In a special partnership with the Russian Federal Space Agency, we are excited to offer this limited edition timepiece, allowing you to own, not only a piece of history, but an ancient relic from our universe's origin.
In using sophisticated radiometric dating techniques, this rock has been measured to be 4.5 billion years old, untouched by human hands until collection in 1974, and pre-dating the very origin of life on earth.
We here at Analog Watch Co. are committed to exploring design through the lens of nature. Our watches are crafted with all natural materials with the intent of reminding the wearer of the complexity of the natural world. We aim to design pieces that let you keep nature close at hand, literally.
In developing this limited edition series, we wanted to step beyond our typical unconventional material choices and work with a partner with a long standing reputation focused on furthering the human mission to understand the nature of our universe. In partnering with the Russian Federal Space Agency, each timepiece comes with a certificate of authenticity and a detailed data sheet covering the exact mineral deposits in the watch.
