The modern treehouse for a forest getaway in Cape Town

Posted by Analog Watch Co. on

This residential home, designed by Malan Vorster, overlooks Cape Town forest from it's treehouse-like stature. Supported by stilts, these four cylindrical towers make up this residence that offers a forest getaway that any nature lover would die for. Inspired by its environment, “The aim of the design was to respond to the height of the tall trees surrounding the clearing to maximize views from the highest part of the sloped site.” With red cedar wrapping around the house and exposed timber flooring covering the interior, this building truly honors the woods in which it calls home. We would love to climb into this modern day treehouse and set up shop for a couple days, coming home to more nature after exploring through it all day long.
