The Root Bench, located in Seoul, South Korea, was designed by architect, Yong Ju Lee. The circular bench stretches outward from the center, mimicking the roots of a tree. Not only is it a beautiful piece of art to admire, but also a functional place to sit, relax and even work in the park.

There are three different sizes of seating options, one small for children, one a bit bigger for adults and tall humans, and the third operates as a bench. You can sit, lay or simply walk through.
The bench is supported with stable metal frames and concrete footings while pieces of wooden deck cover the top. When it gets dark, lighting underneath the tables and seating illuminates the structure, allowing it to still be experienced at night.
