Black Rock City: the beauty of temporary spaces

Posted by Analog Watch Co. on

"Once a year, tens of thousands of people gather in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert to create Black Rock City, a temporary metropolis dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance. In this crucible of creativity, all are welcome." This event is most appropriately known as - Burning Man.

All are participating by contributing their own form of "art" just by attending. Those who choose to build the jaw dropping sky rising designs that fill out the normally flat desert landscape, do so by collecting donations.

This structure, "Galaxia" The Burning Man Temple was designed by Arthur Mamou-Mani, a French Architect. "Galaxia celebrates hope in the unknown, stars, planets, black holes"

Alex Medina, a photographer living in downtown LA, gives us a look into Burning Man from a new perspective, and a big thanks to the drone is in order. This amazing piece of technology allows for photographers like Alex to expand their view and capture it for all the world to see!
